For this second amuse-bouche I brought out my embossing heat tool and embossed both the open and solid zinnea with clear powder. I love these new script sentiments, too. Oh, and the new sage 4-bar notecards... what a gorgeous color!
Well, today marks the start of the "amuse-bouche" (formerly known as "sneak peeks") for A Muse's new Love Blooms release!
Here's my first little appetizer (which is what amuse-bouche means... clever, huh?)... and be sure to check out the blogs of all of those other fabulous A Muse ladies for their tasty little treats! Ok, maybe I am taking this food thing too far... maybe it's time for a snack, for real. :)
For this card I used two of A Muse's new 4-bar notecard colors (latte and blush), and two of the new images. Used the paper piercing tool and a little sheer ribbon... Pink Spica pen on her bouquet and ultrafine multi glitter on her veil... voila! A lovely card created in less than 5 minutes! Think Simple, Think A Muse indeed!!
This afternoon I finally got a chance to play with some of the A Muse images that I had long coveted... then bought... then, for some reason, had not yet used... probaby because I am always so eager to play with the newest rubber!
As I've said before, I always love a good pun... and I love animals... so I had a ball making these two cards.
The chicks are, of course, all flocked out with Stampendous! Fun Flock in Ducky Yellow. I can never resist an excuse to flock out some birds. I had some difficulty trying to get proper (and remotely accurate) coloring on the hen... you know, there are a lot of different varieties of hens out there, each with unique shading and plumage and whatnot. I ended up settling for a blend of Copic markers in Suntan & Sand, and then made little shading marks with the Colorless Blender. Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but it's not too bad... at least, that is my opinion. :)
