When I first began my (rather passionate) love affair with A Muse products several years ago, I just loved their square (4.25") notecards. They were such a unique shape, and seemed to be the perfect size for the adorable cards that I would first learn how to make at the local shop before feeling empowered to come up with my own designs. Well, then A Muse came out with its 4-bar notecard (3.5"x5"), and what do you know. How fickle I was -- and still am. Although I still love the original square notecard, I repeatedly find myself gravitiating -- almost automatically -- to my stash of the smaller size.
And, you know, for some designs the 4-bar size just doesn't cut it! Case in point: last night I found myself looking at two classic A Muse images, the margarita and the matching "got margaritas?" sentiment. The 4-bar papers, both solid and patterned, just weren't inspiring me. I peeked in my drawer of (ok, one of my drawers of) A Muse notecards, and there, like an old friend, a popsicle pink mod dot notecard waited for me.
What happened from there was really a burst of inspiration -- true inspiration seems to strike as rarely as lightning sometimes -- and before I knew it, the design below was completed. I think it turned out wicked cute (if I may say so myself... oh wait, I just did! :). Popsicle pink and lime peel has always one of my all-time favorite A Muse color combinations. And this margarita, with its sparkly lime (thanks to a Spica pen in Melon) and glittered rim, looks good enough to drink! Cheers!
