A*Muse*A*Palooza 2009 Fun

I had a great time teaching my A*Muse*A*Palooza classes at Abeille and Right At Home Scrapbooking -- lovely ladies coming out to make cards is always a fun time, isn't it?

I took a few photos and thought I would share them!  Thanks to all who came out for the festivities!  And, special props to Jennifer S., who (unknowingly) had had her nails done with a color that coordinated very nicely with A Muse's robin's egg blue notecards!  (Check out the bling on the fourth finger, too... hot stuff!)  :)

One last amuse-bouche

Just wanted to share one final sneak peek from the new A Muse holiday release!  This design is chock full of new goodies from this release (three new images, new 4-bar notecard, new polka dot ribbon) AND is also chock full of glittery goodness!

Oh, and in case you notice that my houses are kind of crooked along the card... yeah, this particular card isn't perfect.  :)  Sometimes I deliberately take my imperfect designs with me to teach from, so that I impart to others that our crafty creations do not always have to be perfect.  In fact, the imperfections can be quite endearing!  (How is that for rationalization?!)  ;)

More A*Muse*A*Palooza fun...

Here is another little amuse-bouche, using one of my very favorite images from A Muse's new holiday release.  This little boy gleefully catching a snowflake on his tongue is such a great and whimsical image that captures the fun and wonder of winter.  The sentiment used is also from the new A Muse release.

A Muse papers used are a vintage blue patterned 4-bar notecard, a robin's egg blue notecard cut to size, and bark and natural white papers punched to size.  I colored the little boy with Copic markers.  And finally, I used a bit of A Muse's *awesome* new polka dot ribbon (in french roast).  I absolutely love these new ribbons!!

A*Muse*A*Palooza: amuse-bouche #1

Today is the first day of sneak peeks using images from A Muse's fantastic new holiday release (AKA A*Muse*A*Palooza).  The theme for this first little amuse-bouche is "All Natural Christmas."

I chose to use the brand-new cranberry 4-bar notecard, along with vintage black and natural white cardstocks.

I loved this cardinal silhouette image and chose to stamp it with Brilliance inks -- Pearlescent Ivy and Rocket Red.  I stamped the whole image in green, and then stamped it again in red (separate piece of paper) so that I could cut out just the bird portion of the image... which I then glued on top of the image stamped in green (if that makes sense).  I really wanted there to be a stark contrast of colors between the bird and the branch.  And then, a little ultrafine glitter made the branch's leaves glisten.  A simply elegant, timeless, and relatively easy card!
