Wow, things have been busy. Can't complain, but boy oh boy, I have been slacking on my blog (again). Thankfully, what's been keeping me busy these days has by and large been fun, crafty stuff -- teaching classes around town (mostly at Lisa's lovely Abeille, but some at Right At Home Scrapbooking), finding time to get crafty with other crafty ladies, prepping for the various fairs in which I'm participating this fall, AND even finding time to make a few new Halloween cards (my very favorite time of year!). Hard to catch a breath sometimes but hey, the rolling stone gathers no moss. (I wonder how that would translate into an image & sentiment on rubber stamps... can't imagine it would turn out very well, but I wonder... ;)
Anyway, I thought I would take few moments to share some highlights of the recent past and imminent future!
Last week, I taught Jen D.'s wonderful Introduction to Copic Markers class at Abeille. I was thrilled to see both familiar AND new faces! I know that more folks had wanted to attend the class but couldn't. Lisa and I will definitely be running the class again in the near future, so stay tuned! It's a great class. The cards Jen D. designed highlight several of the different Copic blending techniques -- if you (like many others) are accumulating a stash of these rather pricey (and quite wonderful) markers and wish you knew just what they were capable of... well, take the class and your socks just might be knocked clear off. Here's a pic of the cards we'll make in the class (all Jen D.'s designs!). Thanks, Jen!!
I was very excited to get to attend the second New England A Muse Addicts get-together at Ink About It on September 20th. It was super fun and there was so much craftiness and A Muse love amongst the 20+ ladies... a great time. Huge thanks to Amy C. for putting the event together for all of us, AND a huge thanks to Linda & Lori at Ink About It for letting us use their space (again)!! It was most lovely to see some of the other members of the A Muse Creative Team there, too... including Jenn, Cheiron, and Jen D. Good times! A couple of pics are below...
As I mentioned earlier, I have been having a great time coming up with some Halloween designs (in addition to the five I will be teaching at Abeille 9/30 and Right At Home Scrapbooking 10/6)... I've been using some of my favorite A Muse images that have now been retired and so I can't use 'em in my classes. I will cling to them forever, though, and each year shall delight in using them to make my own cards, like the two below. :) I *loved* using the new A Muse Twinkle Stickers in black and lime to add some extra oomph to my spider and spiderweb. So much fun!!
And finally... I will be selling my cards this Sunday (10/4) from 10:00am-5:00pm at The Design Hive Market in Cambridge, MA (at the Maria Baldwin School on the corner of Oxford & Sacramento -- formerly the Agassiz School). If you're in the area, stop by and say hello! There are some amazing vendors with great items for sale, and it is definitely worth checking out!
That's all for now... over and out!
