Yesterday I hosted the first Shoebox Swap of 2011! It was a lovely time -- ten ladies trekked through the snow to get together and share birthday and thank you cards. We all got our craft on while enjoying great company and yummy goodies courtesy of Host with the Most, Ben.
And here's a close-up of my design -- I was inspired to use some of my vintage A Muse images and paper. I just love that little froggy!
I used VersaMark pigment inks for the grass and flowers, and A Muse dye black ink for the frog and sentiment. I cut out the frog and popped him off the card with foam tape. The lines in the sentiment were blinged out with quickie glue pen and ultrafine glitter. And then, as the final touch, I added a bit of Stickles in Thistle (one of the great new bright colors that thrill me so!) to each flower's center. Love love love!
Thanks to the crafty ladies for getting together with me... can't wait to do it again soon!
