Just stopping by to share another of the designs from my April a•muse | studio workshops. In this design I highlighted some of the great new products, including the 5/8" satin ribbon, the flock, and of course the awesome and adorable "Foiled Again!" stamp set.
No matter how hard I tried, this was the best photo I could get of this design (and I tried multiple times, multiple settings, multiple days... and concluded it's just time to invest in a better camera!). You can see the layout, but can't see the fuzzy, flockiness of the 'stache. Oh well. You can see it a bit better in the close-up below, but my slightly frustrated man-handling of the card resulted in the dislodging of some flock, so the card is sporting a little five o'clock shadow of its own. ;)
I stamped the images (both the sentiment and the 'stache) with Memento Tuxedo Black. I then carefully filled in the entire mustache image with the Quickie Glue Pen, then dumped a substantial amount of flock on the glue. I let the clump of flock sit there for maybe 30 seconds, while the glue dried a little bit, so that the flock really stuck to the image. I then tapped off the excess, and used an air can (like those you'd use to blow the dust from between your computer's keyboard keys) to blow off the excess flock fibers. (I sometimes use my air can to dust off unwanted stray glitter, too.)
Thanks for stopping by!

I don't know why, but mustaches make me so happy :) Must be my affinity for Tom in the Magnum PI days!

Loved making that card. There's just something about flock...
