This Weekend's Events!

All -- A quick reminder (and update) about the events I have scheduled for this weekend!

1) The Friday Night Stampers scheduled for this Friday, 9/9, 7:00-9:30pm, has been cancelled.

2) The A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA Open House scheduled for this Saturday, 9/10, 1-4pm, is gonna be awesome!

3) The A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA Workshop scheduled for this Sunday, 9/11, 2-4:30pm, is gonna be awesome too!

Spider and web and glitter (oh my)

A quick post to share a design I made with a whole lotta new goodies from the a•muse | studio 2011 Holiday Catalog & Inspiration Guide!

First, I took a piece of Onyx cardstock and ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot using the new Web/Swirls impression plate.  A very quick once-over with a sanding block revealed the cardstock's white core and gave the paper a seriously cool look.

I used one of the dies from the new Classic Tags die set (and just want to point out how awesome it is that each of these dies incudes a perfectly-centered hole at its top!), and then, using VersaFine Onyx ink, I stamped the spider and sentiment from the "Too Cute to Spook" stamp set.

I carefully filled in the entire spider image with a Quickie Glue Pen and doused the image with the super-sparkly new Onyx glitter.  After tapping off the excess sparkles, I took a sponge dauber to my Wasabi ink pad and jazzed up the tag's edges, and then looped a length of the new baker's twine in Onyx & White through the hole.  Finally, I popped the tag up with dimensional adhesive, trimmed the twine to a pleasing length, and voila!
