I meant to write this blog post a couple of days ago but time got away from me! Well, better late than never, right? Last week I had a wonderful A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA workshop up in New Hampshire, and one of the featured projects was this Halloween treat bag.
I used images from the "If You Dare" stamp set (which is 10% off through October 14th as part of the current Spotlight promotion), and stamped the images (on Vintage Orange cardstock) with VersaFine Onyx ink. I used a Quickie Glue Pen and Onyx glitter to bling out the spider, and brought out my Big Shot to use the new web die and one of the scallop border dies with the beautiful Onyx shimmer paper. I put the candy corn in one of the medium cellophane bags that can be ordered through the a•muse | studio 2011 Catalog and Inspiration Guide.
When I came home from the workshop, I found that I had prepped too many materials, and I really wanted to *use* the extra cut pieces of paper instead of putting them into the abyss that is my scrap paper "organizer." So, I redesigned the project a bit, swapping out the sentiment for another from that same set (it's a great set!). Instead of a cellophane bag, I used an Orange 4-bar card base.
Thanks for stopping by!

Did you score that scalloped piece on the card? It's a fabulous touch. And now I totally understand why you couldn't keep your hands out of the candy corn.

Nope, Sarah, that's how it turns out using the die, and I chose not to cover up the line! :-) I like how it looks too, especially with the shimmer paper.

The 'If you dare' stamp is the perfect fit for the candy corn treats...
