So it's been around nine months since I last posted to this blog. Three-quarters of a year. That is really pretty pathetic. I've been collecting photos of cards to post (and there are many fewer designs than there ever used to be) for months, but they've been gathering dust in a folder on my desktop. Tonight I have decided to catch up.
These designs are not particularly inspired or exciting, but I'd like to share them anyway. :-) In no particular chronological order and without further ado...
I made this card for John's teachers, for teacher appreciation day. I made these the night before and honestly have no idea how I pulled them off -- super simple designs save the day. Papers, inks and images are from A Muse Studio; Divine Twine was the perfect embellishment.
One of my dear friends, and a fellow hair metal fan from way back when, was expecting an adorable little baby girl, and I was delighted to have an excuse to finally break out this *incredible* image from Savvy Stamps. Sentiment is an old A Muse Artstamps gem. Papers, ribbon and ink from A Muse Studio.
A dear friend from college finally met the love of her life (and by now they are now married!) and this Memory Box image called out to me. The sentiment is by Rubber Soul and I kept having trouble with it. It's one line, and I tried to break it into two... and kept messing up the exclamation point. I finally gave up and accepted imperfection. I used a beautiful Brilliance ink -- I think Pearlescent Poppy? -- but the shimmer doesn't show up in this photo. Ribbon by A Muse Studio.
I made this card for an Ink About It shoebox swap this past May. I was mildly obsessed with this outrageously cute Lawn Fawn set. I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx, and stamped the rest of the images with Memento Tuxedo Black. I added color with a trio of Copic favorites (Canary Yellow, Lemon Yellow and Cool Shadow). Quickie glue pen and ultrafine glitter blinged out the ice cube, and crystal glaze added some dimension to the three lemons. Papers are from A Muse Studio.
I had some extra kits left over from the aforementioned shoebox swap, so decided to repurpose them for some last-minute cards for some of the great mothers in my life. The flower image, I think, is a relic from a Hero Arts set I got when I first started crafting, over seven years ago. Ink by A Muse Studio; sentiment by A Muse Artstamps.
I made this card, for a set of my favorite crafty friends, using another adorable set by Lawn Fawn. The colors don't show up so well in this photo, but the little bees' rear ends are blinged out with yellow Stickles. I colored the bees with Copics in Light Walnut, Walnut, and Canary Yellow, and added some dimension to the jar with Cool Shadow. I added the "flight paths" with a fine-tipped black pen. I tied a bit of Doodle Twine around the card. Card base by Memory Box; other papers by A Muse Studio.
I made this design for the most recent shoebox swap at Ink About It. I stamped the images (both by Memory Box) in Memento Rich Cocoa, and added the color with five different colors of Smooch inks, which have the most beautiful shimmer. Card base by Memory Box; other papers by Stampin' Up! Twine by Hemptique.
The photos I took did not capture the Smooch inks' shimmer, but here's a photo that better shows how I colored the trees and the sun. It was such a simple card to make, and I just loved how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by!

It's great to see you blogging again! Your cards are beautiful. Love the hot pink and lime combo of the wedding card. My blog is super neglected too.
