I spent a good chunk of time last week cranking out some volume of cards to send to some of the many amazing mothers I am lucky enough to know. I really liked how this design came together, and while it was not the easiest or simplest of designs, I was able to mass produce it with some efficiency.
For the background I used this Hero Arts bold prints cling rubber stamp, along with Delicata ink in Golden Glitz. I did stamp this image (on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb) using my trusty MISTI, because the metallic ink was a little tough to work with.
The sentiment, and its matching die, are from Taylored Expressions. I love this font so much! I used black card stock from Paper Source. After cutting out the shape, I dusted it with the Rabbit Hole Designs Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool before placing it into my mini MISTI. I stamped the image onto the die cut with Versamark, and then poured Hero Arts' Gold Glitter embossing powder onto the ink. I tapped off the excess, zapped it with an embossing tool, and voilà! Seriously amazing! I am now kind of obsessed with this embossing powder.
I added some fun organza ribbon, adhered the card together (only the sentiment is popped up with dimensional adhesive), and it was done! Oh, and I didn't take a photo of the inside of the cards, but I used the most amazing sentiment that I found in the Simon Says Stamp! Better with Mom set: "The world is better with a mom like you in it."
